ABOUT ARYEH PLUS
Over the past 12 summers we've been incredibly fortunate to have hundreds of participants on our programs. Many of those attendees come back summer after summer, trip after trip...and they don't want to stop! Now they don't have to! We are so excited to launch our new adult program: Aryeh Plus! This will be an action-packed 10 day trip starting in NY and working our way down towards the Virginias. We'll have amazing hikes, exciting theme parks, top tourist attractions, while reconnecting with old friends and making new relationships along the way.
Aryeh Plus will be run by Raphi Cooper and Judd Eisenberg. This will be their fourth trip and second time running an Aryeh program. Judd and Raphi are definitely two of the most beloved, dedicated, responsible, and straight-up fun staff members we've ever had. We were beyond excited when they stepped up and volunteered to run this trip (taking time off from their full time jobs!). With Raphi and Judd at the helm this is sure to be a fantastic adventure!
Aryeh Adventures is intended for high functioning individuals with special social, intellectual, and/or emotional needs. If you feel your child might be a candidate to be a camper on Aryeh please contact us. All participants must be able to dress and bathe themselves, and be able to have a conversation while making eye contact.
Unfortunately we do not have scholarship funding at this time for Aryeh Plus. However, parents should check with their local synagogues and Federations to see if scholarship funds are available.
Our goal is to create a warm, altruistic environment where Midot Matter Most and every single day is filled with happiness and excitement.
Aryeh Plus is open to mainstream teens finishing grades 11 and 12 who will come on the trip as mentors, but no more than 10 will be accepted onto the program. Approximately 10-15 additional participants with some special needs, who are between the ages of 20-30, will also be accepted onto the trip. Our goal is for these individuals to form lasting friendships with our other Aryeh attendees providing them with a sincere feeling of social inclusion. Unfortunately, individuals with physical disabilities will be unable to join Aryeh Plus. Other young men and women with non-physical special needs might also not be able to be a part of Aryeh. We accept each applicant on a case by case basis, but also want to make sure each individual gets the care they need.
***Should we need to cancel the program due to health safety all deposits and payments are 100% refundable.***
